Documentation

Setup guides, the copy-engine state machine, and operational runbooks.

Quickstart

  1. Create a free account. Email + password (12+ chars). No card.
  2. Add an MT5 master account. Dashboard → My accounts → Add account. Supply your broker login, server name, and main trading password. We encrypt the password before storing it.
  3. Add a follower (destination) account. Same drawer, second time. The login is whichever account you want trades mirrored INTO.
  4. Set up a copy. Dashboard → My copies → New copy. Choose your master (the account to copy from) and your follower (the account to copy to), a lot size multiplier of 1.0 (the follower trades the same size as the master), then set max lots per trade and max open lots as your limits.
  5. Activate. Press Activate on the copy (the same button pauses it later). We start watching the master straight away: a new trade on the master is usually picked up within about a quarter of a second and copied to the follower, within your limits and safety checks.

How it works

  • The master-tap polls each active master's mtapi /OpenedOrders every 250ms. Differential against the prior snapshot fires open / close events on a NATS subject scoped to the source account.
  • The copy-engine subscribes to those events. For each event, it looks up the active CopyRelationships and the user's CopyRule (lot size multiplier / fixed lot / max lots per trade / max total open lots / invert direction / copy-SL / copy-TP), applies the rule, asks the risk service for a verdict, and on allow / scale calls /OrderSend on the destination broker.
  • Every fill is journaled to trade_events with engine latency, verdict, rationale, and the destination account label.
  • When the master closes a position, the matching destination position is closed too — the tap detects the disappearance from /OpenedOrders and the engine maps src_ticket → dst_ticket from its in-process table.

Risk controls

  • Lot size multiplier — multiplier applied to the master's lot size. In balance-matching mode it is applied on top of the balance ratio.
  • Fixed lot — the follower opens this size whatever the master traded, overriding the multiplier and balance matching. It is the size we aim for: your broker's lot step and minimum still apply, and your max-per-trade and max-total-open caps can trim or block it.
  • Max lots per trade — hard ceiling on any single trade's lot size.
  • Max total open lots — stops new copies once the follower ACCOUNT is already holding this many lots. It is measured against every open position on that account — including trades from your other relationships and any you placed yourself — not only the ones this relationship opened.
  • Copy stop-loss / take-profit — opt-in / opt-out.
  • Invert direction — sell-when-source-buys (rare; mostly used by edge-case prop-firm setups).
  • Symbol matching (per copy) — matches the master broker's symbol to the follower broker's symbol (so EURUSD on broker A → EURUSD.r on broker B works automatically).
