Risk Disclosure

Read this before you connect a live MT5 account. Trading derivatives can result in losses that exceed your deposit.

Last updated · 19 May 2026

RobotCopier is software for mirroring MT5 orders between accounts. It is not a broker, not an investment adviser, and is not authorised by the UK Financial Conduct Authority. We do not custody funds, do not give investment advice, and do not guarantee outcomes. The Risk Warning below applies whether you use the Free tier or any paid tier.

1. CFDs & spread bets are high-risk products

The instruments most commonly traded through MT5 — contracts for difference (CFDs), spread bets, and leveraged FX — are complex, fast-moving, and carry significant risk of losing money. The FCA reports that between 70% and 85% of retail investor accounts lose money trading CFDs across the brokers it regulates. You should not trade these products unless you understand how they work and can afford to take a high risk of losing your money.

2. Leverage magnifies losses

Leveraged trading means a small adverse price move can produce a much larger loss than your initial margin. Depending on your broker and account category, losses may exceed deposits (especially outside the UK/EEA where negative-balance protection rules don't apply).

3. Copying someone else's trades does not reduce risk

Following a master account through RobotCopier is your decision. You take on every position it takes, scaled by the rules you configure. A master trader's past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results, and they may have a risk appetite, a deposit size or a strategy that doesn't fit your circumstances. Per-trade slippage, broker spreads, and execution latency mean your results will diverge from the master's, sometimes materially.

4. Software, infrastructure & broker risk

  • RobotCopier is software running on cloud infrastructure. We target high availability but cannot guarantee 100% uptime — see the SLA page.
  • Order execution depends on your broker accepting the order. Broker outages, requotes, rejected fills, and slippage are outside our control.
  • Latency between master fill and follower fill is typically tens to low-hundreds of milliseconds; in fast-moving markets the price you actually fill at can differ from the master's.
  • Risk-engine kill switches and drawdown caps are best-effort guardrails, not absolute guarantees against loss.

5. Your responsibilities

  • You decide which master account to follow and when to pause it.
  • You set the lot-scaling, drawdown cap, symbol whitelist, and slippage budget for each relationship.
  • You ensure the broker credentials you supply are yours and the trading they permit is lawful in your jurisdiction.
  • You are solely responsible for the trades that get copied through your account. RobotCopier's role is mechanical: source order → risk verdict → destination order.

6. No tax, legal or financial advice

Nothing on this site, in the dashboard, or in any email we send is investment advice. We don't know your circumstances and we're not authorised to give advice. If you're unsure whether the products you intend to trade are appropriate for you, speak to a regulated financial adviser in your jurisdiction.

7. Past performance & simulated returns

Any historical performance figures shown on this site or in the dashboard reflect past results only and are not a reliable indicator of future returns. Simulated or back-tested results have inherent limitations and may not be achievable in live trading.

8. If you're a professional client

Professional and elective-professional clients lose some of the consumer protections retail clients enjoy (negative-balance protection, leverage caps, ESMA / FCA-mandated risk warnings). RobotCopier treats all customers as "sophisticated users" for the purpose of these Terms — by using the service you confirm you understand the risk of the products you intend to trade.
